Wall-E is shaping up to be a very risky Pixar project. Then word came out that there was very little dialogue amongst the film’s robots. Pixar chief John Lasseter revealed even more risks his latest production is taking.

Also excluded, though a bit more appropriately so, are less-blockbuster comedian comedies like You Don’t Mess With the Zohan, The Love Guru, Meet Dave, Step Brothers, Tropic Thunder and, surprisingly, Hancock, which is the latest in the traditional July 4th-weekend-released sci-fi/action comedies from Will Smith. Is this a sign that people think it looks like Smith’s worst summer movie since Wild Wild West? Or were those moviegoers that were polled even allowed to make selections other than the ten listed?

After hundreds of lonely years of doing what he was built for, WALL′E (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) discovers a new purpose in life (besides collecting knick-knacks) when he meets a sleek search robot named EVE. EVE comes to realize that WALL′E has inadvertently stumbled upon the key to the planet’s future, and races back to space to report her findings to the humans (who have been eagerly awaiting word that it is safe to return home). Meanwhile, WALL′E chases EVE across the galaxy and sets into motion one of the most exciting and imaginative comedy adventures ever brought to the big screen.

The trailer for Mike Myers′ new comedy The Love Guru premiered a few months back, and man it looks awful. Myers stars as Pitka, “an American who was left at the gates of an ashram in India as a child and raised by gurus.” So it’s not technically a white-dude-in-Indian-makeup, but it might as well be.

The first trailer for his next movie, The Love Guru is here. Perhaps more importantly it has Romany Malco, who may finally break out and get the success he deserves after some flat out brilliant work as part of an equally brilliant ensemble in The 40 Year-Old Virgin.

Actor Mike Myers has sparked controversy in Hindu communities for “lampooning” the religion in his new movie The Love Guru. The 44-year-old plays Guru Pitka in the upcoming film and repeats the mantra of “Mariska Hargitay” - inspired by the American actress - as his calming technique. But Hindu leader Rajan Zed has accused Myers of stereotyping the culture, adding the movie “appears to be lampooning Hinduism and Hindus.” Studio Paramount Pictures has agreed to a preview of the movie for Hindu leaders prior to its release.

Whether it’s the shoe phone, or it’s just seeing the bumbling Maxwell Smart get into a pickle while trying to save the world from disaster. Pictures is remaking it into a feature film, starring Steve Carell as Maxwell (Agent 86), Anne Hathaway as Agent 99, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as a new character - Agent 23, and Alan Arkin as The Chief.

Would you believe?The new Get Smart film is hitting theaters on June 20, starring Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway and Adam Arkin as Maxwell Smart, Agent 99 and the Chief. Also in are Dwayne Johnson, Terence Stamp and - according to the fine print on the poster credits - former Las Vegas honcho James Caan!This isn’t the first time Agent 86 will be in theaters, though! The first time was in 1980’s film The Nude Bomb. Don Adams returned to the role he made famous in the 1965 television series, this time without Barbara Feldon as Agent 99.

The movie, which stars Steve Carell as Maxwell Smart and Anne Hathaway as Agent 99, will have a more modern setting in which CONTROL is suffering from lack of funding as the government spends all its cash on other spy agencies like the CIA. “Get Smart” is set to hit theaters on June 20th, 2008.

The Incredible Hulk is a 2008 film adaptation of the classic Marvel comic of the same name. The film is directed by Louis Leterrier, and stars Edward Norton as both the Hulk (in computer generated form) and his mild mannered alter ego, physicist Bruce Banner.

Of course, The Incredible Hulk is also getting a new feature film this summer, starring Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, William Hurt and Tim Roth. In fact, Robert Downey Jr. even shows up in the new film as “Tony Stark” (the secret identity of Iron Man, in case you didn’t know). That film hits on June 13th, and there are already plans for DVD tie-ins to the film by way of the 3rd and 4th season sets from the classic Bill Bixby/Lou Ferrigno live-action series. But why should that be the only series to tie in?

The Incredible Hulk is not another origin story: When the movie begins, Bruce Banner (Norton) is already The Hulk. He’s hiding out in Brazil, trying to find a cure for the gamma-ray exposure that turns him into a monster. Before long, his whereabouts are uncovered by Gen. Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt), and the movie turns into an extended chase, as Banner tries to cure himself while eluding Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth), a soldier who turns into the scaly fiend Abomination. The new Hulk film is said to remain truer not only to the comic book but also to the old Lou Ferrigno TV show.

His next film is titled You Don’t Mess with the Zohan and is written by three comedy greats: Knocked Up’s Judd Apatow, SNL’s Robert Smigel and Adam Sandler together. In it, Sandler plays an Israel Intelligence Agency operative, and he looks quite convincing, at least for a comedy.

In the summer of ‘08 movie, Sandler plays an Israeli counter-terrorist named Zohan, who has grown weary of fighting Arabs in the Middle East in “You Don’t Mess With The Zohan”. After faking his own death in a frenzied battle with a Palestinian terrorist named The Phantom (John Tuturro), Zohan moves to New York City to pursue his one true passion - hairstyling. He gets a job at a local salon and operates under the moniker of Scrappy Coco, where he becomes an instant hit with the geriatric female population of the Big Apple. Scrappy is loving his new life until some local Arabs recognize the former commando and take it upon themselves to expose the imposter.

Yes, Judd Apatow’s name is attached’he co-wrote the screenplay with Sandler’and Adam Sandler makes virtually nothing but hits. But who knows anything about the Israeli army? How many people will get what appear to be many jokes about the Israeli accent? People may have gone to see Sandler fake being gay with Kevin James last summer, but will they see him be a hairdresser now?

Dreamworks Animation has delivered unto the web a brand new clip from their upcoming martial arts film Kung Fu Panda, which stars the voice talents of Jack Black as a lazy panda bear who finds out that he is the chosen one. In this extended sequence, Po (Black) and Master Shifu (voiced by Dustin Hoffman) are in the midst of training when Shifu realizes that the only way to get this panda’s lazy butt in gear is to take away the one thing he loves most: his dumplings.

First up, DreamWorks Animation has posted online the second full trailer for Kung Fu Panda, coming to theaters on June 6. The movie features the voices of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Lucy Liu, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan and Ian McShane. You can check out the new trailer here!

There were a lot of scenes that were only storyboards as well as a few half-finished CGI scenes. Looking beyond those and the need for some more final editing and polishing, the film is a very fun, very entertaining animated kung fu movie. First things first, you′ve got to realize this is just a big popcorn flick.

“Sex and the City” is coming to the big screen in a feature film adaptation of the hit HBO television series. The film will follow the continuing adventures of the series four main characters - Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda - as they live their lives in Manhattan four years after the series ended. Stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon are all on board to reprise their roles, while the film will be written and directed by Michael Patrick King, who executive produced the original television series. Additionally, Chris Noth, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler and Jason Lewis will return as the women’s love interests. Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson (”Dreamgirls”) has also joined the cast of the film and will play Carrie Bradshaw’s assistant, a new character to be introduced in the film.

Producers are so sure the movie version of the classic HBO show… is going to be a box office hit that they plan to exercise the sequel option in the contracts of stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kirstin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall. “They are hoping it will become a franchise,” an insider tells In Touch. “They would love to do four or five Sex and the City movies. Script ideas were even in the works before the writers’ strike.

Sex and the City is a popular American cable television program. The original broadcast run of the show was on HBO from 1998 until 2004, for a total of six seasons.
